On the first day, relax on the Almaceda River Beach, in Castelo Branco. This beach has numerous leisure activities at your disposal. At the end of the morning, have lunch in a typical restaurant and taste the delicious cheeses from Beira Baixa. After a cozy lunch, stroll through Aldeia de Xisto Martim Branco, a village that forgot time. Once here, look for and take a walk along the refreshing Rota dos Moinhos, a short pedestrian route that lets you discover the traditional windmills, in perfect harmony with nature.
On the second day, in Idanha-a-Nova, enjoy the Pego Bathing Area and take the opportunity to get to know Penha Garcia better, where the fossils give importance to one of the main geosites of the Naturtejo Geopark, recognized by UNESCO. For lunch, try the popular olive oil cakes / spouts. In the afternoon, take the opportunity to visit the Historic Villages of Beira Baixa, Monsanto (the most Portuguese village in Portugal) and Idanha-a-Velha.
On the third day, in Penamacor, enjoy Praia Fluvial da Benquerença, Praia Fluvial da Meimoa, or the Bathing Area of Meimão. After enjoying one of the typical dishes of the region, try the typical sweet, papas de carolo. At the end of lunch, do not miss the opportunity to take a hike in the Malcata Nature Reserve, a protected area of Portugal, a place of conservation and preservation of the Iberian Lynx, in danger of extinction.
