Experience the production of honey, participate in the collection and extraction of honey and tasting of combs and tasting the honeys blindly (identify the type of honey according to the flavor). Follow the entire process of extraction and packaging and also watch and learn to prepare typical dishes with honey (Bowl with honey). DAY 1:
9.00-9.30 - Reception of visitors and introduction to the experience;
9:30 - 10:30
Pedestrian path in the surroundings of the apiary in production, with interpretation of the bee flora;
10: 30-12: 30 Preparation of the experience with protective equipment, safety rules and precautions; Extraction of honeycombs in a Primary Production Unit to prepare the tasting blindly (identify the honeys according to the flora);
13: 00-14: 30 Lunch in Castelo Branco.
14: 30- 17:00 Visit to Melaria Meltagus to understand the whole process that the honey goes through until it reaches the table (to be confirmed). Tasting of honeys and various flavors of the hive, with explanation of the relationship with the observed bee flora.
17:00 - 18:00 Follow-up to Refúgio do Raposo and Casa da Figueira with passage at Praia Fluvial da Fróia
Day 2:
9:30 - 10:00 Departure from Refúgio and Casa da Figueira to Proença;
10:00 - 12:30 Restaurant Milita for observing the preparation of dishes with honey (bowl of honey) - validate the restaurant, as part of the platform network.
13: 00-14: 30 Lunch with dishes made with honey;
15:00 - 17:30 Visit to the Viva da Floresta Science Center.
18:00 End of experience.
