Encosta da Muralha Restaurant, located on one of the castle's hills, started its activity on October 2, 2014, under the management of Nuno Salvado and chef Roxana, with the responsibility of the kitchen. Its room with 76 seats is wide and with plenty of natural light, especially the large wine cellar with over 500 national wine varieties, ports, muscatels and gins (it also works as a wine cellar). It has a pleasant terrace that in summer is shaded by 2 large wisteria that help to refresh-la, where you can enjoy a meal, a snack or simply quench your thirst.

We also excel, for always having some wild and seasonal products such as, asparagus from Idanha a Nova, ponderous amanitas (tortinhos), míscaros, bred, etc.
We insist on always having the fantastic cheeses of our region, with emphasis on the spicy and mixed yellow curing of Beira Baixa, which serve as a starter or to taste after the meal together with our sweets, where the cottage cheese with pumpkin jam or honey, the bowl, the fresh cheese pie with wild blueberries, the flamed fruits, among others, are the delight of our customers.
